My name is Brian Robertson, and I’m running to represent YOU in State House District 44.

As a dedicated father, United States Marine Corps veteran, and proud Eagle Scout, I am rooted in the values of service and community. Hailing from Sumner County, my lifelong journey has been one of continuous dedication to both my local community and our great nation. However, my commitment to making a positive impact is far from over, and I am seeking your support in my ongoing pursuit of what is right.

From an early age, I recognized that serving in government was my calling. My love for Tennessee and its diverse population has only grown stronger over the years. The tragic Covenant School shooting served as a turning point, compelling me to step forward and take an active role in shaping our state's future Now.

In recent years, our state legislature has unfortunately taken a path that undermines the rights of its citizens. Despite claiming to champion small government, they have consistently passed legislation that intrudes into our lives. Public education has been under attack, with taxpayer dollars redirected towards out-of-state for-profit private school systems, leaving those who can't afford private school tuition at a disadvantage.

Moreover, the legislature has been reluctant to address critical issues such as gun reform, despite a majority of Tennesseans calling for positive change. As a Marine in the United States Military, I understand the importance of responsible gun ownership laws, and I am committed to ensuring the safety of our communities.

Our state's rankings in safety, education, and healthcare continue to fall in the bottom two-thirds, highlighting the need for a new direction. I am running for the Tennessee House of Representatives in District 44 to be the change we need. My platform is built on the pillars of equitable education for all, the improvement and overall expansion of Medicare, and advocating for responsible gun ownership laws.
